Hi, I am Deborah. I am a Registered Nurse with an Advanced Diploma in Paediatric Nursing. I am a qualified NZQA recognized Holistic, Remedial and Deep Tissue Massage therapist and Reflexologist and have also completed the 4 stages of Touch for Health in Kinesiology and muscle testing. My years of working as a Health Practitioner have taken me far and wide with much time spent working in countries in Africa with Doctors without Borders and the International Red Cross. Then for more than ten years I lived in France with my husband and three children.
In 2009 we returned to New Zealand where I once again have become involved in working in the field of Primary Health. My real passion lies in the complimentary medicine of massage and reflexology - therapies that promote a holistic approach in helping people look after their own personal health and wellbeing. In these ever changing times never have I felt more strongly about the importance of maintaining a sense of wellbeing and balance in one’s life to be able to cope and enjoy what life has to offer.

If this is your first time for a massage with Deborah then we recommend an introductory session of an hour.This allows time to discuss any relevant medical history and /or conditions that will help decide the most appropriate massage for you at this time.
Swedish massage is a classic, therapeutic “Relaxing” Massage where by one of the primary goals of the therapist is to relax the entire body. Full body massage relaxation tends to be performed with mild to medium pressure and usually takes an hour.
THERAPEUTIC DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
1 hour I $90
REFLEXOLOGY
30 mins I $50 - 1 hour I $90
Deep Tissue Massage is similar to a therapeutic relaxation massage but the deeper pressure is more beneficial for chronically tight muscles of the body. The aim of this technique is to work through the superficial layers of the skin and muscle fibres to the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue (known as fascia) and tendons. If you have specific areas of tension that you would prefer to have worked on then one hour is a good amount of time.
The feet are considered mini-maps of the human body with specific reflex points reflecting the different organs of the body.

Using pressure massage techniques on these points of the feet helps to relieve tension and stress, increase circulation and promote balance and sense of well being
